Bringing a Bold Backyard Vision to Life
Matt Juelich came to us with a distinctive idea: a backyard patio unlike the standard rectangular slab. Rather than talk him out of something unconventional, our team leaned in—taking the time to understand exactly what he was picturing and working alongside him to refine it. The result is a sweeping, wave-shaped patio that flows organically through his backyard and gives the space a genuine sense of character.
A True Design Partnership
The strength of this project was collaboration. We walked Matt through the design, flagged potential concerns, offered suggestions, and did the research needed to make sure the finished patio matched the vision in his head. Shaping a curved, freeform pour takes careful forming and planning, and every part of the layout was considered to make the wave design read cleanly from the deck above and at ground level.
